In my mid 30’s I had been a smoker for 17 years. After years of not eating right and not exercising I took a look at myself. I was not happy with what I saw. I had never been overweight, but I could see if I continued as I had been I was getting very close. I was also unable to do any type of activity that required much from my lungs after years of smoking. This made me realize that fitness was important to me. I am sure this rings true to many for us. I was always athletic when I was young. Even throughout my twenties and early thirties if someone wanted to go on a long hike. Even in the mountains I was able to keep up, but after a while my bad habits caught up with me. It was time to turn my health around!
After about four years of slowly bringing up the intensity of my workouts I started to see results. This made me feel so much more confident and competent in all aspects of my life. It was so empowering! This is what inspired me to become a Personal Trainer. I wanted to share this with others. I wish everyone could experience this. It has been the most positively transformative aspect of my entire life.
